Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings Arena Football

Based in Bossier City, Louisiana, the Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings play in Arena Football’s minor league (af2). Formed in 2001, the Battlewings’ home turf is the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City.  The Centurytel Center is a 20-minute drive from the Shreveport Homewood Suites by Hilton®.

Called the Bossier City BattleWings from 2001-2003, the Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings clinched their first ever Southwest Division Title in 2008. During the 2008 af2 playoffs, the team played at an even higher level, averaging 61 points per game. The BattleWings reached the National Conference Semifinals before being eliminated at home by the Amarillo Dusters. Impressively, the BattleWings’ coaching staff has also produced players that have gone on to the Canadian Football League and the Arena Football League.
